Tiffany Oliver LeighProfessional Curriculum VitaeTiffany Oliver Leigh was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has many strong ties to the community. Tiffany attended the University of New Mexico on a Presidential Scholarship and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Immediately after receiving her Bachelor’s Degee, Tiffany was accepted to the University of New Mexico School of Law. While in law school, Tiffany focused her studies and training on Family Law. She was the Student Articles Editor and Manuscript Editor of the New Mexico Law Review, the Vice President of the Women’s Law Caucus, the law school’s representative for the Graduate Professional Student Association and the Student Faculty Liaison. In addition to participating in these organizations, Tiffany was on both the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll. While in law school, Tiffany also had the good fortune to be involved in an exchange program which allowed her to study law abroad at the Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico. Upon graduation from law school, Tiffany received the National Association of Women Lawyer’s Award, an award given to an outstanding law graduate who has shown academic achievement, motivation, tenacity and drive; and shows promise to contribute to the advancement of women in society. She also received the Dean’s Award for significant contributions to the law school community and the Family Law Award. Prior to taking the bar exam, Tiffany accepted a position as a law clerk at Little, Gilman-Tepper & Batley, P.A. She became an associate at the Firm in April 2005 when she was admitted to the State Bar of New Mexico. Tiffany’s practice is focused on complex divorce cases involving business valuation, tax issues, property division, child custody and prenuptial agreements. Tiffany is likewise a trained Collaborative Attorney and is active in several Collaborative Divorce associations including the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the New Mexico Collaborative Practice Group, the Albuquerque Collaborative Practice Group and the Kiva Collaborative Family Law Group. In order for other professionals to become collaboratively trained, Tiffany has served as the Annual Collaborative Law Symposium Committee Chair in both 2007 and 2008. Tiffany currently serves as a board member on the New Mexico State Bar Association Family Law Section Board and is Chair of the Nominating Committee. Tiffany is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Albuquerque Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association. |
