Happy New Year from Little, Gilman-Tepper & Batley!
2011 was quite the year and we thought it would be great to share with you what we have been up to and what we will continue doing in 2012.
Sandra continues to stay extremely busy with her Litigation and Collaborative Practice. This year, Sandra received the very prestigious distinction of having been included in The Best Lawyers in America for 25 years. Sandra continues lecturing both locally and nationally on a variety of family law matters. In June, she attended the number one dispute resolution program in the country, the distinguished Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University.
Jan continues to work with the Albuquerque Bar Association and served as President this year. She was likewise recognized for having been included in The Best Lawyers in America for 25 years. Jan has continued to concentrate on her Collaborative Practice and has extended her practice to serve as a Settlement Facilitator. She regularly lectures at the NM Collaborative Symposium.
Bobbie was chosen for New Mexico Business Weekly’s Best of the Bar 2011 and at the beginning of 2011 she received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest peer review rating from the organization. Bobbie continues to work in national organizations like the ABA Family Law Section and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Tiffany is serving her fourth consecutive term as a Board Member for the NM Bar Family Law Section and will serve as Chair in 2012. She was also awarded the CLE Crest Award given by the New Mexico Bar Association for the Top Young Lawyer CLE Presentation. Tiffany will continue to serve as the Chair of the New Mexico Collaborative Law Symposium Committee.
Jennifer M. deGraauw is the newest addition to the Firm. Jennifer has been practicing family law for 4 years and is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law. Jennifer is also a trained collaborative attorney and will serve as a Board Member for the New Mexico Collaborative Practice Group in 2012. Jennifer’s practice at the firm includes divorce, custody, property division and collaborative family law.
We feel particularly honored that we have “swept the category” of The Best Lawyers in America Family Law Lawyer of the Year in Albuquerque for the first 3 years it has been awarded. It was awarded to Sandra in 2010, Jan in 2011 and Bobbie in 2012!
Roberta S. Batley named Lawyer of the Year

Roberta S. Batley has been named by The Best Lawyers in America® “Lawyer of the Year” for family law in Albuquerque. The firm’s attorneys have received this award three years in a row with Jan Gilman-Tepper receiving it in 2011 and Sandra Morgan Little in 2010. Congratulations Bobbie!

CLE Crest Award

Tiffany Oliver Leigh has received the CLE Crest Award given to the top young lawyer presentation each year. Tiffany received this award for her presentation at the 2011 
Collaborative Law Symposium. She will be recognized next weekend at the New Mexico Bench and Bar Conference Annual Meeting at Buffalo Thunder Resort in Santa Fe. Congratulations Tiffany!

Little, Gilman-Tepper & Batley, P.A. is pleased to announce that Jan Gilman-Tepper is now serving as a Settlement Facilitator in Family Law Matters in addition to her ongoing Collaborative Law Practice. Jan has over 30 years of Family Law experience and has been a leader in Collaborative Family Law. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist. Recently, Jan was selected as Albuquerque Family Law Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America.

She will be recognized at the Best of the Bar Reception on June 2, 2011 at Hotel Andaluz and will be recognized for her excellence in Family Law in New Mexico. In 2010 Sandra Morgan Little and Jan Gilman-Tepper were given the same honor.
